#3: Comprehension Create the front page of a newspaper from a day in the life of your person.
Include at least 3 articles. The title should reflect the story’s theme.
Prepare to share this with the class.
#4: Synthesize
Make a 60-second commercial or trailer for the book. Put it onto a
DVD or a media website (i.e. schooltube.com) to show to the class.
#7: Relationship Over Time
Create a timeline of the life of your chosen person. Include at least 15 important life events with dates and illustrations.
#5: Analyze
Write a book review of your biography, and email it to Mrs.
Owens for approval (via Google docs lowens@mytusd.org
). Then, publish your review on Google
Books website
( www.google.com/books ).
#6: Big Idea
Compose a ballad about the life of your famous person. Set the song to the tune of a well-known pop song.
Hand in the verses (at least 2). You may choose to sing your ballad to the class, record it beforehand and play it, or read it aloud.
#8: Summarize
The book by turning it into a rhyming poem with at least 25 lines. Turn in the poem, typed, double spaced. Remember to skip lines as well between stanzas.
#9: Point of View
Write three diary or journal entries in the perspective of your person.
Write one each for the beginning, middle, and end of their life
