Research and Teaching Experience
Fall 2015 – present
Teaching Assistant
Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Biotechnology and Microbiology
program, BRAC University
Responsibilities: Laboratory class demonstrations, experiment protocol development,
undergraduate thesis management, laboratory organization
Summer 2014
Undergraduate thesis project
Supervisor: Dr. M. Mahboob Hossain, Microbiology program, Department of Mathematics
and Natural Sciences, BRAC University
Isolation and study of the optimum growth conditions of diesel degrading bacteria from
soil.: Isolated bacterial strains from soils and screened for the isolates with ability to grow
on minimal media with diesel as sole carbon source. The isolate with most growth in
primary screening was tested in different parameters (concentration of diesel, pH).
Fall 2013
Student Tutor
Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Biotechnology program, BRAC
University
Responsibilities: Media preparation, tutoring, laboratory organization
Intern Experience:
Spring 2014
Intern
Asiatic Laboratories Ltd.
Worked in the microbiology lab under the Quality Control department and performed
antibiotic assays, sterility tests and environmental monitoring. Gained practical
knowledge about random sampling, Cleanroom technology and pharmaceuticals
