March Dukes of the Month
Sara Stone/ Spanish
Sara was nominated as Duke of the Month for Spanish because of her
excellent attitude and participation in class. Sara comes to every class
ready to put her Spanish skills to use. She always does her best whether
we’re learning vocabulary, applying new grammar skills, or working on
group activities. Her classmates have given Sara credit for boosting their
oral participation grades because Sara engages them in conversation in
Spanish and makes the conversation fun. I have overheard some very
interesting and creative discussions in Sara’s corner of the room. She
asks questions, stretches her vocabulary, and makes her peers more
confortable with their speaking skills. She is also very helpful and
reaches out to help her peers if they are struggling. Muchas gracias,
Sara, for being such a positive role model and leader in the classroom.

During the third nine weeks Dan has shown great qualities! These qualities
include persistence, adaptability, and a great attitude towards the
people around him. Dan has been able to hurdle many obstacles this
portion of the semester including new classes and extra

towards the people around him at school. Dan is also great at accepting
constructive criticism and following directions. Although the day starts

Maxence Guirand/Science
Learning the language of Anatomy is difficult enough if you already speak
English, but if French is your native language it's even more difficult.
Max Guirand has worked so hard this year to not only make her English
better but also to learn the language of Anatomy.
Max is so much fun to have in class. She is energetic, happy and always
positive. She works hard and is always willing to ask questions and do
what is needed to succeed. I really enjoy having Max in class!
She was also very helpful with the last pep rally. She was in charge of
the dance and she helped everyone get the steps and have fun.

in art is very apparent. She always is going past my expectations for each

extremely hard worker and dedicated to making each project her very
best. There is one characteristic about Jennifer that stands out more than
the others, her self-motivation. She pushes herself to try new techniques
and to become a better artist. Not only are Jennifer’s artistic skills
excellent, her personality shines as well. She is always eager to help other
students with ideas and is very respectful to her teacher and
