Italy holds a romantic fascination for all of us. Excellent
food, picturesque scenery, fascinating history, art and a
friendly people make Italy a favorite for worldwide
travelers. Come discover Italy in-depth this coming April
with veteran host Barry Knight. You will come away from
this tour feeling like you have truly connected with Italy!
Itinerary:
April 11 – Fly from your home city to Venice, Italy.
April 12 – Venice – Welcome to Venice! Transfer to your hotel in Mestre and enjoy a welcome dinner with the group.

April 13 – Venice – Transfer to Tronchetto from where you
take a boat to Venice. Arrive and discover Venice during a
half day guided tour highlighting all the important monuments,
from San Marco Square to the Rialto Bridge. You’ll learn the
history behind the famous landmarks, including the basilica’s
Byzantine heritage and the adjoining prisons of the Doge’s
Palace. Highlights also include Campo Santa Maria Formosa
and Marco Polo’s House. Along the way you will learn the
history of the stunning palaces and churches that line the
famous canal, as well as anecdotes about the famous
people who have resided on Venice’s most important ‘street’.
Back to Mestre where you will overnight. (B)
April 14 – Mestre – Florence – After breakfast sit back and drive through beautiful Italy on your way to Florence!
Arrive and have free time for lunch. Your afternoon half day tour in Florence includes the cathedral in the old city
center, including Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors and the famous cupola by Brunelleschi. A
short walk brings you to the Accademia Gallery which houses the statue of David by Michelangelo. Your tour
continues with panoramic views of Florence, Fiesole and the Arno Valley. Next, you’ll visit the old city center to see
the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce. A short walk through the heart of Florence brings you to the famous Piazza
Signoria, where you can see the imposing Palazzo Vecchio and the beautiful Loggia del Lanzi. Transfer to your hotel
to overnight. (B)
April 15 – Florence –Lucca – Pisa – Transfer to Lucca where
you will stop for short free time to admire this extremely beautiful
medieval town. Arrive in Pisa and have free time for lunch. After
lunch get ready for a half day guided tour in Pisa. You’ll drive along
the embankment lining the River Arno into Pisa. Your visit begins
with a guided visit of Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the famous
Leaning Tower of Pisa. This masterpiece of Romanesque art is
surrounded by the equally beautiful baptistery and cathedral.
Transfer to you hotel to overnight. (B)
April 16 – Pisa- Orvietto – Transfer to Orvietto. Arrive and have
half day guided tour. Visit its marvelous Cathedral and walk along
the narrow streets of this city that is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy with its medieval architecture.

April 17 – Orvieto- Assisi – Transfer to Assisi. The visit of this
marvelous medieval town will include the Basilica of Santa Maria and
the Basilicas of St. Francis and St. Clare. Afternoon at leisure for
personal activities. Overnight in Assisi. (B)
April 18 – Assisi – Rome -Transfer to Rome. Arrive and explore
Rome during your tour. The tour starts from the Baroque fountain
Di Trevi, one of the most famous fountains in the world. Throw a coin
in it, to be ensured a return to Rome. Next go to the Castel Saint
Angelo, used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and now a
museum. Have a break in Piazza Navona, one of the world`s most
famous squares. Continue to the Pantheon, the temple to all Gods
in Ancient Rome. Finally it is off to the Spanish steps, the most
majestic urban monuments of Roman Baroque style in Rome.
Transfer to hotel. (B)
April 19 – Rome – Full day guided tour. Explore the Vatican
Museums from inside and the treasures of the Popes.
Admire Michelangelo’s famous ceiling inside the Sistine Chapel.
Visit St Peter`s Basilica, where Peter – the apostle who is considered
the first pope – is said to have been crucified and buried. Visit the heart
of Ancient Rome, the Coliseum. Explore this scene of many
gladiatorial contests. Admire the spectacular Roman Forum, between
the Palatine hill and the Capitoline hill. It was the center of political,
commercial and judicial life in ancient Rome. See the Roman empire
come back to life at this site. Remains of many buildings from different
periods are visible. The forum was littered with temples, basilicas and
triumphal arches. Transfer to restaurant for farewell dinner. (B,D)
April 20 – Rome – Transfer to airport to take your flight back to USA.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND: Airfare is usually issued at time of deposit. These tickets are non-refundable,
therefore deposits may have limited refunds depending on the specific tour. Once final payment has been made,
money is non-refundable.

reservations and arrangements for transportation, or cruise, or conveyance, or hotel or lodging, or meals or
sightseeing services or any other activities made by Agent, are made by Agent as dual agent for the traveler,
(Passenger) and for the air carriers, hotels, sightseeing companies, transportation companies, cruise lines and
other companies (Suppliers) providing services for this program. As such, Agent shall not be liable for injury,
damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reasons of defect in any vehicle or
mode of transportation, through the acts, defaults, financial difficulty or bankruptcy or omissions of the Supplier or
person engaged in carrying out the arrangements of the trip or otherwise in connection therewith. Agent is not
liable for delays and/or cancellations of services and resultant expenses or loss caused by acts of God, sickness,
quarantine, weather, strikes, war, terrorism, social or labor unrest, local laws, mechanical or construction
difficulties, abnormal conditions or other situations, actions, omissions or conditions outside Agent's control.
Agent is not liable for loss of, or damage to baggage or personal possessions. Agent and Supplier reserve the right
to alter or cancel the itinerary or substitute services as conditions require or for the safety of Passenger.
As a matter of privacy, we do not disclose addresses or other personal information about other travelers in the
group. We do all in our power to assure seats for passengers traveling together on aircraft are assigned together,
but because airline seating assignments for groups are controlled by the air carrier, we cannot guarantee specific
seat assignments. As a matter of policy, we rotate seats on motorcoach tours. Passengers must be in good health
and able to care for their own needs. Please contact us regarding any health concerns you may have or if you need
to bring any specialized medical equipment such as wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, etc. so that we can determine if
transportation services, hotels, and other suppliers can accommodate your equipment. If it is determined that
your equipment can be accommodated, you or your traveling companion are fully responsible for it and must be
able to lift, fold, push, and handle the equipment. Tour directors on the trip cannot be of assistance with such
needs. We reserve the right to remove passengers from the group at their own expense if the care of or actions of
a passenger become detrimental to the functioning of the tour. Payment of deposit(s) as outlined in this
agreement shall be deemed consent to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Registration: To enroll for this tour, simply fill out the reservation form and return it, along with
your $1200 per person deposit. Upon receiving your payment, we will send you a confirmation
letter and more details pertaining to the tour. Tour information/documents will be sent to you
approximately 30 days prior to the tour departure date.
