GREETINGS FROM YOUR ADMIN TEAM:
On behalf of the staff of St. Volodymyr School, we
would like to welcome you back to another amazing
school year. We continue to be blessed with a great staff
and amazing families and fantastic students that attend
St. Volodymyr School. We look forward to providing
quality Catholic education to your children.
We would like to encourage you to become involved in
your child’s education and feel that you are a part of our
St. Volodymyr family. Please take the opportunity to
become involved in our Catholic School Community
Council, volunteer for any field trips with your children,
or join us for one of our masses, liturgies or school wide
events.
We hope to see all of our families at our school wide
BBQ this evening from 6:00 to 8:00. Our CSCC has
donated some great prizes for our draw, which include: a
Blue Jays jersey, $50.00 Olympian Sports gift card,
$25.00 ITunes card, and sports equipment.
We will continue to keep our strong partnership with
Holy Family Cathedral to ensure a rich opportunity for
faith based education. On Friday, September 18th we
will have our opening mass at the Cathedral of the Holy
Family. Mass will begin at 9:30 and we would love for
you to attend.
Thank you for entrusting your most precious gifts with
us and we look forward to a great school year!

schedule has started this week. As always, we
ask your cooperation in using our patrols by crossing at

meetings, professional development activities and have
teacher planning time. There are no classes for
students on the following days:

 Friday, January 29th
 Monday, March 7th

Beginner Band Workshop
GSCS Beginner Band Workshop for all grade 6 band
students will be held at Bishop James Mahoney High
School, 231 Primrose Drive, on Saturday, September
19th. Students on the east side of the river will attend
the afternoon clinic. Any students who cannot attend
must inform their band teacher, and have written
permission for their absence. More information will be
provided later this week in regards to times, materials to
bring, and skills to be covered.
Nut Alert – We have a number of students at our
school that are highly allergic to peanuts and nut
products including Peanut Butter and Nutella.
Anaphylaxis is a medical condition that causes a
severe reaction to specific foods and can result in
death within minutes. Because of the seriousness of
this danger, we ask that you are careful to avoid
sending food to school that contain nuts.
A reminder that if you have a child that needs
medical treatment that is life threatening, please
contact the School Office. Thanks for your
understanding and cooperation.
