Primary Purpose
To work in partnership with injured employee and key stakeholders to ensure an effective
and efficient process in the processing of workers compensation claims at Identitywa.
Duties and Responsibilities









Oversee workers compensation claims by liaising with injured employee, supervisor ad
insurance.
Provide recommendations for a return to work program for individual employee in
appropriate service.
Work closely with payroll staff to ensure accurate calculations of workers compensation
and salary.
Liaise with Catholic Church Insurance and attend meetings as required.
Attend medical appointments with injured employee on behalf of the employer, if
necessary.
Inform and liaise with Managers, Coordinators and Identitywa’s employees on
relevant issues including policy and procedure issues as required.
Ensure all verbal and written communication to both internal and external
stakeholders is delivered in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure Management Team is promptly advised of concerns about injury in the
workplace and/or current workers compensation cases.
Represent the core values of Identitywa at all times.
Selection Criteria
Essential


Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent
Comprehensive experience in workers compensation and injury management as part of
Human Resources



Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Satisfactory National Police Clearance and Driver’s license
Desirable

Previous experience in workers compensation claims in the disability or aged care sector.
