Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc., is pleased to announce the release
of its next generation Xtreme 256 RF L-Band matrix switch. The Xtreme 256 is a
128x128 matrix that fits in a compact 12 RU chassis. Like its predecessors, the
Xtreme 256 is designed for high uptime applications with built-in redundancy for
all RF and control cards, power supplies, and fans. All active or powered cards
and assemblies are easily accessible from the front panel and are hot-swappable.
The Xtreme 256 features a flexible matrix architecture (patent pending) that
supports multiple single chassis configurations of 64x192, 96x160, 128x128 and
more. The Xtreme 256 is highly scalable and can easily be expanded up to a
system size of 2048x2048 using multiple Xtreme 256 modules. Optional
integrated expansion ports allow for Xtreme 256 systems from 128x384 up to
256x256 without using external expansion modules, significantly reducing system
size and number of cables.
‘We have leveraged our outstanding legacy of reliable and cutting edge RF design
and combined them with our customers’ input to design a matrix switch for next
generation applications,’ said Dan Prushnok, CEO and Chairman of Quintech.
‘Our customers have a need for matrix switches with a greater number of input and
output ports, with more stringent RF specifications. The Xtreme 256 is designed to
satisfy these needs.’
The Xtreme 256 achieves industry leading P1dB and OIP3 linearity regardless of
input power level for maximum RF performance while cutting power consumption
by 50% or more over comparable matrix systems. The Xtreme 256 features a large
15” touchscreen front panel local control, and remote control over TCP, Telnet,
SNMP, and web browser GUI interface.
Quintech will be showcasing the Xtreme 256 at the IBC 2014show in Amsterdam,
booth number 1.B31, Hall 1. Please contact Quintech to schedule an appointment.
