Greetings to everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday and your Holiday season has started well. This is the first time I have written the December issue and had the opportunity to write about the Christmas season. Admittedly I am feeling a little stressed about it as I sit and write this, more so than previous newsletters. The pressure to say something meaningful, to leave people with a warm fuzzy feeling, to get it just right. Pressure, under pressure. In a lot of ways I think the Christmas Holiday can feel that way, rushing here and rushing there to get it all done. We have to get just the right gift to let those certain someone's in our life know just how much we love them ( made all the more difficult when you ask the certain someone what they want and the answer is I don't know), pressure. We have to get our house decorated and looking like something out of a Christmas magazine, pressure. We are running here, there and yonder to get to all of the Christmas parties, activities, and family gatherings, pressure. Braving the traffic and crowds and at times weather, pressure. By now most of you are thinking, ok Scrooge, maybe it's best you never do the December news letter again (you may be right). Don't get me started about going out to get a 40 dollar gift card to exchange it with someone who gives you a 40 dollar gift card, but I digress. Now I am going to turn it around come out of my Scrooge ways and let you in on the secret to surviving the Christmas season and avoid all of the pressure that goes with it...... are you ready, wait for it........the truth is I have no idea how to relieve the pressure that is inherent with this holiday. I think there is always going to be some pressure, but try to take time to enjoy the time with family and loved ones. Life moves so fast so take a moment this Holiday and savor the time together. I have 2 young girls and I am looking forward to spending the time with them and my wife. There is nothing quite like the excitement a child has on Christmas morning. I know in the blink of an eye they will be grown and out of the house, as many of you can attest. I want to enjoy this time with them and just be in the moment and not overcome by the pressures of the Holiday season. Maybe your kids are coming home for the Holidays or maybe it is just going to be the two of you this Holiday. Whatever the case may be or pressures you may have this holiday season, make sure to soak in the moments with family and friends and enjoy this period in your life and reflect on your meaning for the season, for we will never pass this way again. For this month and the next month we will be giving free consultations for neck pain and headaches. That's right, often times physical therapy can be very beneficial in relieving headaches. Just call to set up your free consultation. Moving on to things of even greater joy, THE TRAINS ARE HERE!!!!! In case you missed it the first time THE TRAINS ARE HERE!!! Also there is a tree, but really it is about the trains (right Dark Side). Please stop in and see the train display. Special thanks to Kaylie who helped set up the trains this year and cut the set up time in half, I really appreciate it. Also, on a side note, I am glad Kaylie survived the tree falling on her. Jesi was very concerned, although that was difficult to tell through all of her laughter. Thank you, to you both, for setting up the tree. The train display is open to all, both the young and the young at heart, please stop in and check it out. Finally, one of the best ways to make sure you are ready to take on the Holiday season each day is to get plenty of rest. Everything seems a little more manageable with a good night's rest under your belt. In this issue we will look at things you can do to help get a better night's sleep, and awake rested and refreshed, and not be a creature stirring the night Santa arrives. Thank you to all of the patients both present and past who have trusted us with your care we could not be here without you. From our office to you, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
