The e Learning industry has undergone radical changes over the past five years (2007 - 2012), It s considered
now as the black horse for training and learning solutions, especially inside companies that combine large
number of employees and extend through a huge geographical distribution. The need of e Learning solution is
a must for companies that are undergo rapid technological; processes and organizational changes.






Ensure suitable environment for e Learning inside company (Infrastructure - Roles - Motivation).
Design, develop and transform the traditional classroom activities into SCORM compliant contents for
delivery on LMS.
Monitor and follow up the progress of trainees through different courses and produce periodic reports
about the status of each trainee, and forward theses reports to the stakeholders.

Job Details



Job title : e-Learning manager.
Unit : e-Learning Unit.
Line manger : Training and Development Department Manager.
Job Purpose
To provide vision, operational, technical and strategic leadership in the management and further development
of e Learning services, projects and activities of the company e Learning Unit.
Main Responsibilities










Lead and Manage the e Learning Unit including all aspects of staff management, recruitment,
appraisal, staff development, scheduling of work and discipline
Devise, design and build or innovative, aligned and effective solution to emerging problems and needs
in the e Learning Unit.
Plan and prioritize the workload of the e Learning staff. Organize team meetings, appraisals and staff
development sessions to ensure smooth and efficient running of the Unit.
Collaborate with the different company departments to determine their needs from the Unit and
prioritize these needs.
Follow up and approve all the Unit courses before delivery through LMS
Monitor or formally evaluate projects or initiatives.
Examines, verifies and approves off the shelf contents before purchasing.
Document all the Unit processes through approved SOPs and Unit templates.
Ensure and carry out suitable quality assurance measures on the output of the unit.
Facilitates access to expertise, services and resources relating to technology-supported learning.








Design, convert and develop the premade ILT contents into dynamic, interactive SCORM complaint
contents.
Partner with content SMEs and e Learning trainer to redesign existing PPT and PDF classroom training
documents into SCORM complaint format, including graphics, animations, videos, simulations,
assessments, interactive games.
Create and maintain authoring storyboard templates used by content SMEs
Ensure and carry out the best designing software to ensure the best quality Unit output.
Manages the online training course configuration, testing and publishing on LMS.
Encourages and facilitates continuous process improvements within all the company departments.
Provide support for the published courses.

e Learning Trainer Job Description










Examines and verifies the storyboard provided by the CMEs according to different adult learning
theories.
Prepares and prioritizes the pharmacy crew curriculum and syllabus.
Determines the contents publishing date and duration based on the pre prepared curriculum.
Create users accounts and inform the trainees about them before enrolling the course.
Recommend off the shelf contents to be purchased and added to the Unit library.
Enthuses and motivates the trainees to ensure best commitment and adherence.
Manages and follows up the progress of trainees on the LMS.
Tracks the results of assessments and produce periodic reports about the status of each trainee.
Meet and prioritize the needs of all the company departments.
Provide support for the published courses.
Content Subject Matter Expert (SME) Job Description



Gathering all data that are delivered in classroom training (PPT, PDF, Excel, Prize ...etc.) during ILT.
Write the course storyboard based on the templates that are provided from the e Learning
Instructional Designer.
Provides periodic updates about all published contents to keep the Unit library up to date.








Ensures and maintains pharmacies infrastructure.
Ensures and carry out the best software and hardware for the e Learning unit.
Ensures the run out of the training smart boards and voting system.
Ensures compatibility of the LMS with the company ERP.
Publish the contents to LMS (whatever internet based or NMC intranet based).
Provide maintenance for the Unit platforms.
Be active in researching new technologies and eResources that might be useful for Unit staff.
Note: The role of the e Learning trainer and e Learning Instructional Designer can be merged in one job according to the
manpower availability.
