The topography of tooth flank is checked on a CNC gear measuring center to verify the accuracy of the proposed machine setting of cutting. The contact pattern and motion curve will be checked on a single-flank test machine to verify the result of tooth contact analysis. 2. This project will develop a fully CNC gear generating grinding machine. The major research topics include (1) Determination of machine settings of the gear generating grinder, (2) Development of modification of gear flank, (3) Development of the human machine interface.
