Dear Parents and Students,
Are you ready for school? It is almost time! One of most important journeys of your child's life is about to
begin! We are so excited to have your child in the Dublin City Schools Pre K program. It is our goal to
begin preparing your child for their Kindergarten experience by laying a firm educational foundation in
our Pre K classes. It starts with you, the parents, and our teachers working together as one team to make
sure a great year is had by all.
Here are a few ideas that might help you as you prepare for the first day of school, Wednesday, August
14, 2013:
1. Pre K Open Houses will be as follows:
A. Saxon Heights TAG Elementary - Monday, August 12th from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M.
B. Susie Dasher STEM Elementary - Monday, August 12th from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M.
2. Uniforms are NOT mandatory for Pre K students.
3. A copy of the supply list is on the back of this letter.
4. Phone number for both the schools are:

5. In case you have older students in elementary school, the K-5 Open House schedules are as follows:
A. Saxon Heights TAG Elementary - Monday, August 12th from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M.
B. Susie Dasher STEM Elementary - Monday, August 12th from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.
C. Hillcrest LEAP Elementary - Monday, August 12th from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M.
Our Site Director at Susie Dasher will be School Improvement Specialist, Mrs. Cathy Methvin. The
Principal at Susie Dasher is Dr. Cloise Williams. At Saxon Heights, I will be the Site Director, as well as,
Program Director for the Dublin City Schools Program. I will be assisted at Saxon Heights by our School
Improvement Specialist, Mrs. LaKeisha Fluker. The two young ladies that most of you will speak with
when you call each school will be Ms. Alisia Goff, at Susie Dasher, and Mrs. Bernadette Holmes, at
Saxon Heights.

Pre K Supply List
2013 - 2014
1. Backpack (preferably one without wheels) that is large enough to
carry a folder without bending
2. One change of clothing (shirt, pants, underwear, and socks) in case of
emergencies
3. Two (2) towels or cot cover
4. Ziploc Bags (quart or gallon size)
5. Box of Kleenex
6. Hand Sanitizer
7. Liquid Soap
8. Baby Wipes
9. Paper Towels
We know times are tough these days, but any opportunity that you may have to
purchase an extra item and send to school at different times during the year will
greatly be appreciated.
