www.hcpss.org/gces February 13, 2015 Vol. 17 No. 22 Principal’s Corner Dear Gorman Crossing Families & Friends, We had a busy first day of conferences and we anticipate an equally busy Friday! We hope you were able to spend some time with your child’s teacher celebrating strengths and setting goals for the rest of the school year. If you were unable to schedule a conference and you would like to speak with your child’s teacher, please contact them via email. All email addresses can be found on the Gorman Crossing website. A big thank you to our PTA President, Nicole Mazzi- Williams, for organizing a meal for our staff. Panera sandwiches and desserts really kept the staff moving on a busy conference day. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful PTA that is always thinking about us! As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email. Sincerely, Deborah Caldwell, Principal deborah_caldwell@hcpss.org GCES & Philanthropy: We are proud to announce we are partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as we will participate in Pennies for Patients from 2/17 3/6. Students are encouraged to bring in loose change in an effort to raise funds to help blood cancer research as well as providing education and patient services. Students will turn their loose change into their homeroom teacher. Classrooms will compete against each other to see who will raise the most money. The class that raises the most money in the three week period will earn a prize! So, turn over those couch cushions and look in the cup holder and under the seats of the car. Let's get the giving started!
