Why do I need to give my social security #?
The State Fair is the one who will be issuing the checks should you place. The checks will be distributed via mail, not the
day of the show. They won’t issue them without a SS number. If you don’t feel comfortable listing your # on the form,
that’s fine; but, the day of the show you will need to provide that info. If you forget, and place, you will not get paid. This
will be your responsibility as NBHA NY06 & 07 will not chase you down.
How can I qualify for the Coliseum run?
There is a $500.00 added barrel race, sponsored by the NYS Fair, held Saturday night Aug. 29, 2015 in the coliseum.
This run is directly after their day show has ended. The entries come from the NBHA barrel race. We “invite” the top ten
riders from each division of the open run to go to the coliseum. If a rider chooses not to go, then we will “bump down” to
the next rider until all 40 spots are filled to compete at the coliseum. This NYS Fair Coliseum run will be paid in the 3D
format.
What do I need to do when I arrive at the fairgrounds?
All horse trailers should enter through Gate 7. You will continue on the same road. At the end of the road, veer left along
the tracks. At this last gate you will give the gate attendant your pass. Friday Night check in will be along ‘camper row’
after that check in at the office. We will have a list of stalls showing where your horses will go. At that time, we can
answer any questions or concerns you may have, or take any late entries. The office will be open on Friday 8/28 from 6
pm – 10 pm and Saturday morning starting at 7am. If you have a problem outside of that time frame, please call the

What time will stalls be available Friday night, and when do I have to be out on Sunday?
Stalls will be available at 6pm on Friday. A stall list will be posted at the office. Horses should be out of the stalls by 9am
Sunday morning. You do not need to clean your stalls, but it is appreciated.
RV HOOKUP
RV hookups are available for the weekend. The cost is $40.00. IF YOU PLUG IN ANYWHERE it is considered RV
HOOKUP and you will be charged – REGARDLESS OF LOCATION of hookup (ie: near barn). One vehicle allowed per
RV Campsite. (not intended for all of your neighbors and friends).
What do I need to bring?
 ALL HORSES on fairgrounds are REQUIRED to have a STALL.
 Stalls are not pre-bedded. You should bring your own bedding or can purchase it at the
fairgrounds
 Rabies & Coggins within the calendar year. Your horse will not be allowed on grounds w/o them.
 A Health Certificate from your veterinarian, if you are traveling from outside of New York State.
 NBHA Card. We need to verify membership. If you don’t have it, you pay the $10 non-member fee.
