Here is what they said: All students are reading at grade level or are very close and I’m using technology more. Really proud of the fine motor development of the boys in my class. Working with Buddies on Math and Science Projects. I am proud of how far my students came with their writing skills. We worked on a daily basis in conjunction with our reading skills. I am so excited about the success of the K/1/2/ and the leadership I saw in all of my kids. I am proud of completing a whole year (1st time) and building such strong relationships with my students and creating a class that supports each other! And building such strong relationships with my colleagues. I am proud to have been an active member of our teacher-librarians association – learnt a lot. Got to participate in an inquiry about reading where I jumped on learning about how ipads can help kids read. I am proud of my blog. I am proud of my students’ growth in reading in both languages. More than half were not meeting or approaching expectations in September. Stressing the importance of daily home reading helped tremendously. Inquiry and ipad presentation at DEO and the new report card model. My proudest moment were my student led conferences. Loved the involvement of the students and the support of the parents with regards to no letter grades. My biggest and proudest moment was seeing how many of my students enjoyed writing cards and stories; whereas almost half the class thoroughly enjoyed playing chess during centres. I’m proud that I could make my students with little artistic ability create pieces that they were in awe of. I am most proud that I was able to organize the schools track and field team and participate in the event smoothly. Seeing my students having more confidence in themselves and their abilities. Nobody is afraid to put up their hand and talk and nobody is scared of getting the answer wrong. I love seeing the kids able to be confident with their thoughts and opinions. Incorporating Smartboard technology into many more lessons/themes/strategies. My greatest success is a student who felt ‘cared for’ in my class and altered their behavior because of it. The progress one student has made with his/her behavior (from tantrums to asking questions, being patient and listening). Am I proud of my communication with parents in terms of reporting. I am happy with the conferences I had and the joint teamwork we made during their conferences. I am very proud to have been able to conference 3 times this year with my students on a one to one basis. It has been an amazing experience and I have learned very valuable information. I feel I know them very well. I am proud of learning and using the Smartboard. Thank you to my students for helping and encouraging me with the Smartboard. I am proud of my growth in working with students with behavioral challenges. I am very proud of the work that my students produced this year. Established strong connections with several students who were not enjoying school in September but are now. They are more verbal and enjoy hanging around the classroom afterschool. I am proud of having the opportunity to work at PME, and to be a part of such an incredible staff. I established some incredible relationships with students with challenges and I have grown as a professional and am grateful for this experience. What would your child say that they are proud of this year?
