Describe the scope of the work to be undertaken
We would use EAGLE(Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor) Version 5 software to
design a single-sided PCB for successful fabrication in accordance with a provided
circuitdiagram. Next, we would add components and pins from the component libraries,
and connect these objects together via wires to make a schematic and PCB board
layout file. Lastly, we would test the schematic for electrical errors and route the board
nets according to the design rules and schematic connections.
Describe the software selection process
There were numerous Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design programs available on the
web, but we chose an EAGLE PCB design software because This EAGLE was best
suitedfor drawing schematics and generating otherdocumentation for electrical projects
according to the European standard. Additionally, Eagle won the “Product of the year
2010” awardfrom Elektronik magazine under the Engineering Software category.
Describe the features used in selected software
Grid in mm or inch, Command (script) files, Easy library editing, Library browser with
powerful search function, Support of technology feature, Easy definition of labelled
drawing frames, Free definable attributes, applicable for devices in the Libraries and in
schematic or layout, Context menu with object-specificcommands for all objects,
availablethrough a right mouse click, Properties of objects can be accessed and edited
via context menu, Automatic backup function, Icon preview for sheets, Cross references
for nets, Automatic generation of contact cross references, Simple copying of parts,
