Send Notice of Team Meeting to all participants including: parents, school district representative, special education teacher, regular education teachers, school psychologist, student (9th grade), other service providers on IEP (DAPE, OT, Speech) Essential team members who are invited but not able to attend must provide you info and the Agreement Regarding IEP Team Member Attendance for should be completed Create and use agenda for meeting (see attached) Present test results in every area assessed Discuss criteria for special education services Have team sign Signature Page agreeing with results See attached Procedures for IEP Meeting When Parent Not in Attendance if parent does not attend Use agenda to address all areas (see attached) Write and send the IEP within 10 school days along with Prior Written Notice to parents Parent should have a written IEP to review at least 14 days prior to the annual due date to allow the parent and district to work on an agreed upon IEP while the current IEP is still active. Start date should be 14 days after IEP is written (can start earlier) If parent signs IEP and returns, the new IEP is in effect. If parent takes no action, the IEP is in effect after 14 days (except initial IEPs which need written consent before services are provided)
