Results of parent survey carried out 11th 12th 18th 19th 20th and 21st March 2013 The survey had two purposes; firstly the opportunity for governors to meet with parents and make themselves known and secondly to give parents the chance to air their views about all aspects of the school. Four governors attended parents’ evenings and helped parents complete a questionnaire. Parents were asked questions relating to how the school was run i.e. the head teacher, the staff, accessibility, social attitudes, meal provisions, religious education, communication with staff, health and safety, hygiene, and the condition of the school environment. Finally parents were invited to give their general opinion of the school which, could be given anonymously. There were no negative comments relating to the above other than the playground facilities. Around 80% of parents thought that it was very poor and in much need of improvement. As far as all other aspects of the school 100% of parents were very happy with the education their child/ren were receiving. Much confidence was expressed in the staff and in particular the leadership of the head. A more thorough and detailed survey is being carried out by the school, the results of which will be published later, but we hope this survey gives a good indication of the general attitude and level of satisfaction felt by parents.
