June Newsletter Monkey Puzzles World Cup This half term the Monkey Puzzles have been getting involved with the excitement of the World Cup. They each picked a country to support with Julia and Dylan's teams, Germany and Argentina reaching the World Cup final. The class were also challenged to complete a home learning project based on the World Cup. As always the Monkey Puzzle's responses were extremely creative, from a cake with the design of the Cameron flag to a World Cup board game. Alice’s World Cup Cake Modelling Erosion This month the Monkey Puzzles were challenged to create a working model that demonstrated coastal erosion as part of their topic learning on coasts. Once they had built their models they tested them using water and ‘waves’ to simulate erosion. After completing their experiments they wrote evaluations. They had great fun using cake, sugar cubes and other materials to simulate erosion. They also acted as reporters by filming the process of erosion using ipads.
