5. Eligibility of potential practices:
Green infrastructure: storm water management practices including bioretention, wetlands,
permeable paving, rain gardens, green roofs, cisterns, rain barrels, vegetated swales, riparian
buffer/flood plain restoration.
Ag (cropland): BMPs to address water pollution concerns with plowing, pesticide spraying,
irrigation, fertilizing, planting & harvesting.
Ag (animals): BMPs to address water pollution concerns with CAFOs, open feedlots & grazing.
Silviculture: BMPS to address concerns with removing streamside vegetation, road construction,
timber harvesting, mechanical prep for tree planting.
Groundwater protection: Wellhead & recharge protection activities.
Marinas: BMPs to address concerns with poorly flushed waterways, boat maintenance,
discharge of sewage from boats, physical alteration of shoreline/wetlands/aquatic habitat during
marina construction and operation.
Resource extraction: BMPs to address concerns with mining and quarrying activities.
Brownfields: BMPs to address concerns with abandoned industrial sites with real or perceived
contamination.
Storage tank sites: BMPs to address concerns with above/below ground tanks that store
gasoline, petroleum products, or other chemicals.

Hydromodification: Practices to reverse degradation of water resources through channel

Additional costs and fees to consider:

The total amount drawn for wastewater loan will determine the total amount available for
sponsored project reimbursement. The applicant should be prepared to cover project costs over
and above what is eligible for reimbursement.

If wastewater infrastructure and sponsored projects are bid at different times: The sponsored
project must be bid before wastewater loan can be amended. Additional bond counsel fees for loan
amendment will apply toward sponsored project amount.
