Waste Volume Analysis
The following tables are (2) waste scenarios for a new 650-unit apartment community in the design phase.
Scenario # 1 is (4) under chute compactors. Scenario # 2 uses (2) 20 yard compactors. Each one of these
scenarios uses 3- yard recycling bins to meet the expected 20 % recycling rate.
This analysis illustrates that Scenario # 2 is likely a better solution in the early stages of design. In addition, the
(see operations report) evaluates trash handling labor necessary for on-site operations when complete.
