A Bill to Adopt a Basic Income System to
Simplify Assistance

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.

The federal government will distribute a Basic Income to each citizen of

There will be a 4% raise in current income tax levels to account for
funding.

A Bill to Permit Flexibility in Public School Calendars
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PHSSL CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1.
The Pennsylvania School Code be amended so that the only requirement public
school districts must meet in order to complete a school term is a number of
instructional hours.
SECTION 2.
The following terms are defined as:
A. School term - a time period in which students complete one grade level;
referred to as “a school year”
B. Instructional hours - the number of hours in which students must be
instructed or learning; this number of hours will be determined during
revision of the school code.
SECTION 3.
Several Pennsylvania agencies will be involved in the enforcement of this bill.
A. The Pennsylvania House Legislature’s Education Committees will oversee
the revision of the Pennsylvania School Code.
B. The Pennsylvania Department of Education will monitor the
implementation of and adherence to the Pennsylvania School Code.
SECTION 4.
This bill will go into effect for the 2016 - 2017 school one year.
SECTION 5.
All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

BE IT ENACTED BY THIS STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
1. WHEREAS: Women and men have equal rights in the United States, and
2. WHEREAS: Women have been enlisting in the service and fighting with men

in battles overseas, and
4. WHEREAS: Numerous positions in the military exist that do not involve combat

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THIS STUDENT CONGRESS HERE

ASSEMBLED that women must register with the selective services and be subject
7.
to the same laws and obligations of registered males.

A Bill to Improve Postsecondary Education

BE IT ENACTED BY THIS CONGRESS ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1.
All professors teaching at any college or university that receives any state
3
or federal funding must have earned a Teaching Certification in
4
Secondary Education from an accredited institution of higher learning in
5
addition to the qualifications required by the individual college or
6
university.

SECTION 2.
A teaching certificate shall be defined as a degree in teaching. To earn
8
this degree one must successfully complete education courses and a
9
period of student teaching as required by the accredited institution of
10
higher learning issuing the certificate. This will also include registry with
11
applicable state government agencies.

SECTION 3.
state/local agencies shall have jurisdiction over this piece of legislation.

The US Department of Education in conjunction with all applicable

If enacted, this bill shall have full force of law by the fall term of each

college or university. All existing professors shall not be impacted by this

piece of legislation.
