Fall semester, Mercedes will edit submitted
articles,
 FAPA will be September 3-6 in Jacksonville
 Katie is not going. Ben is TBD,
 Sony ordered an extra room just in case more
people come,
 Emily made an agenda/itinerary that should be
helpful for Urban Knights to navigate relative
workshops and sessions of interest.
 Working on fundraising efforts with COHPA
 Volunteers are needed / requested to represent
the Urban Knights on August 17 (7-9 pm) and
August 20 (10 am–2 pm) in the Student Union.
 Officer voting will be held in September.
 Emily will send out an official nomination form.
 Mentor program in the fall
 Winter Garden Roof Garden on Saturday ($4-$)
 Mercedes: Apopka Toxic Waste Tour
 Wetlands: Free on weekends
 Great Escape Room (Sony): 10 people, 1 hour,
 Must have 25 students graduate
 Curriculum
 “Planning” has to be in title and the practice
 Five full-time teachers
 Theme is “Fifty Years of work on Poverty”
 Poverty, homelessness, community school
 Possible different format: no panel, capstone
students do breakout sessions
 Sony motioned


