Why Walk? Join us for our 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon as we Rock‘N’Walk for Argonne to help raise money and have a fun time as a community!! Join us for a great time while promoting fitness, building our community, and fundraising for programs at Argonne Elementary. All proceeds raised will go directly to supporting programs at our school and benefit our students. More than a Fundraiser!! This is a great community-building event we hope everyone will participate in. By participating, students proudly support their school and help positively impact programs for everyone. We hope everyone plans to walk with us – all students and parents are welcome to participate. It’s all about having fun together as a community!! If You Cannot Attend If you cannot attend, but still would like to donate please submit your donation to your child’s teacher, Grace at the front desk or via the PayPal Form at www.argonnesf.org before Friday, July 31st. If you would like to order any Rock’N’Walk for Argonne t-shirts for yourself and/or children, please indicate your sizes, the number of tshirts you’d like ($20 each) and your child’s name and class number to argonnewalkathon2015@gmail.com. Please submit your order & payment before July 17th, by check made payable to “Argonne PTO” to your child’s teacher or to Grace at the front desk or you can pay online via the PayPal Form at www.argonnesf.org. You will receive your t-shirts the day of the Walk-A-Thon. Ask 3 neighbors for $5! All students, parents and staff are encouraged to wear their Rock’N’Walk for Argonne t-shirts from last year on the day of the WalkA-Thon to show their community support. All incoming students, those who cannot locate their shirts and anyone interested in ordering a shirt will receive a Rock’N’Walk for Argonne t-shirt the day of the event. $5 from your piggy bank! YOU JUST RAISED $100!!!!! Please Turn in your Donations Early!! Please turn in your forms and money as soon as you collect them. We will be tracking and announcing how much money we are raising from July 6th to July 31st. Collecting Money All students will receive a Walk-A-Thon Donation Form. Students can ask family, friends and neighbors to be sponsors by making donations to Argonne. Students can turn in money from July 6th to July 31st. Please turn in all donations, filled-out forms and all money collected before the day of the Walk-A-Thon, Friday July 31st. Checks should be made payable to “Argonne PTO.” Argonne PTO is a 501c3 organization. Gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. TAX ID # 94-3344282. 1. Donating Online Please encourage your potential sponsors to donate online via the PayPal Form on the Argonne Website www.argonnesf.org. This is the fastest and easiest way to make a donation. Remember to tell people to enter your Name and Room Number on the PayPal Form during 2. checkout. Goals & Prizes Our goal this year is $50 per student. Class goals are as follows: Kindergarten classes - $1000 per class 3. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classes - $1200 per class. 4th and 5th grade classes - $1500 per class. If we’re able to raise $15,000 we’ll have an ice cream party for all!! If we’re able to raise $20,000 we’ll have a pizza party for all!! This year our incentives will be based on community fun, fitness and music!! All students participating will have lots of fun and enjoy special treats the day of our event and those students and classes who demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship and spirit will receive outstanding recognition and cool prizes. TIPS FOR A GREAT DAY!! Wear comfortable clothing, including your Rock‘N’Walk for Argonne T-Shirt. Wear comfortable shoes, no open toe sandals or shoes with wheels. Eat a hearty and healthy breakfast and be ready for FUN!
