- The outcome was that the
United States and the Soviet Union came
to find a peaceful solution without
causing a nuclear WWII because JFK
(John F. Kennedy) had sent troops to

weapons that were coming from the
soviet union couldn't get through.

counter Soviet union aggression.

The growth of the atomic weapons
started when he US made the Atomic
bomb to bomb Japan since Japan didn’t
want to surrender. When making the
atomic bomb Soviet spies infiltrated the
Manhattan project and the Soviets had
the secret to making the atomic bomb
and in 1949 the Soviet Union had the
atomic bomb. And from there both
countries made the best atomic
weapons.


America was the capitalist
superpower and the USSR (Russia) was
the communist
superpower. The
USSR also included most of what we now
call east Europe (e.g. East
Germany,
Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, etc.) America
'won' the cold war when Russia gave up
communism in 1991 due to economic
failures

