The class will focus on cross-culture communication using four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). Japanese Home Traditional Grading Scale: 90% - 100% = A 80% - 89% = B 70% - 79% = C 60% - 69% = D 59% and below = F Materials to Bring Every Day Textbook – Please keep covered and in good shape. Workbook – Please keep in good shape. Replacements are $27. Notebook – 5 sections: Notes, Warm-Ups, Assignments, Handouts, and Tests. Supplies – Paper, writing utensils, etc. Student Expectations The student will be evaluated based on their classwork, homework, tests, work habits, and participation. Attendance is mandatory for success. There will be 2 to 3 hours of homework each week so that learning can be maximized during classroom discussions. If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to find out what the make-up work is and complete it promptly. If there are any questions on the subject matter, students may see me during brunch, lunch, or after school for any help needed.
