Press Release Sunday, 13 December 2015 Artisan would like to thank their customers for understanding On Saturday evening due to the heavy and persistent rainfall to swollen rivers and on saturated ground the River Calder and Clifton Beck flooded, turning many roads in to rivers in the centre of Brighouse. The flooding on Phoenix Street has caused extensive damage to the Artisan Fireplace Design warehouse; the Artisan team has been in on Sunday cleaning up the damage after the river levels started to drop. The Artisan showroom has not been touched and we will be open for business as usual on Monday, taking customers’ orders for January fitting dates. The only part of the business which was damaged by the flood water was the warehouse which was full of Artisan’s customer’s new fires ready to be installed this week in time for Christmas. Artisan have contacted all customers effected and rearranged their fitting dates for as quickly possible in January. Sue Malthouse, Managing Director at Artisan Fireplace Design said “I would like to express my sincere thanks to our customers for their patience, support and understanding after the flood disaster in the Brighouse basin. We’re all absolutely gutted that this happened at this time of year. The Artisan team have been wonderful, pulling together to open again for Monday. We have contacted all the customers who were due to have fireplace installations this week and rearranged new installation dates.” Artisan’s marketing team have contacted Santa at the North Pole and updated his house list with the houses which won’t have their new fire for Christmas to advise him to use an alternative entrance.
