2016 Counselor Application: Howdy Camp Aggie Transition Camps Mission Statement Aggie Transition Camps exists to successfully transition new students into the Aggie Family. Aggie Transition Camps Values Servant Leadership, Knowledge, Integrity, Inclusivity, Commitment Aggie Transition Camps Introduction Aggie Transition Camps (ATC) is a sponsored student organization that is responsible for successfully transitioning new Aggies to Texas A&M University through two programs. While Howdy Camp and Transfer Camp are produced by the same organization, they are still run as two separate programs. Aggie Transition Camps will put on Howdy Camp and Transfer Camp each January and August, respectively. Counselors for ATC are chosen each Fall and Spring semester. For many incoming students, Aggie Transition Camps’ programs will be their first impression of the Aggie Family. The job of those involved in ATC is to welcome incoming students to Texas A&M and aid in their transition. The ATC counselors will make Howdy Camp 2016 and T-Camp 2016 successful through leadership, dedication, commitment, and teamwork. This semester long commitment will be fulfilled with successes and challenges, and it will provide many opportunities for growth as a person and a leader. Experienced Counselors: -What is something you want to improve on from a past camp experience? **Please sign/initial and submit the following pages with your application.** Eligibility Requirements - - - Undergraduates must have at least a 2.00 overall grade point ratio and at lest a 2.00 grade point average from the previous Spring semester at the time of selection. Counselors must post at least a 2.00 grade point ratio for the regular Fall semester during their term. Graduate students must have at least a 3.00 overall grade point ratio and at least a 3.00 grade point ratio for the previous Spring semester a the time of selection. Counselors must post at least a 3.00 grade point ratio for the regular Fall semester during their term. Applicant must be in good standing with the University and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in a regular semester during their term. Applicant will be ineligible should the student fail to maintain the requirements described above and will no longer be allowed to attend camp functions after removal. I hereby agree to release my University academic & conduct record to the ATC Advisor and Executive Director, and agree to a criminal background check.
