Subject: Formation of a committee for reviewing the Acts and Rules considering the feasibility of
establishment of commercial snake farm in Bangladesh
Reference: Memo no. of the ministry MoFL/ livestock-2/ snake/ 32/ 2012/108, dated 02-04-2013
With reference to the subject mentioned above the following committee has been formed to figure
out the feasibility of Government & Non-government snake farming and reviewing the relevant Acts and
Rules circulated by the Ministry of Fisheries & Livestock and the Ministry of Environment & Forest for
issuing license of commercial rearing of captive snakes, crocodiles etc. wild animals and for ascertaining
the responsibilities to implement the related activities according to existing Rules of Business.

implementing the related activities according to Rules of Business the committee will submit the report
within 01 (one) year.
