Position Description:
The Junior Class Treasurer shall represent the Junior Class and serve as a member of the Junior
Class Council and be specifically responsible for the following:
 Organizing class fundraising events.
 Processing all monetary forms on behalf of the Junior Class Council.
 Submitting monthly reconciliation forms.
 The Junior Class Treasurer shall meet with the treasurers of the other undergraduate
class councils when planning events. She shall collaborate with the other treasurers to
ensure the appropriate distribution of expenses and revenues between accounts.
 The Junior Class Treasurer shall meet regularly with the Student Life Office Advisor.
 The Junior Class Treasurer shall meet regularly with the Student Life bookkeeper and the
VP Finance, to keep up to date records of the Junior Class budget.
 The Junior Class Treasurer should allot funds to the Student Career/Networking Dinner
and coordinate the contributions from the other class council treasurers.
 Assisting the Junior Class Council on all of their events and initiatives as outlined in the
By-Laws (Class Dinner, blood drive, Student Career or Networking Dinner, etc.).
Appointments Process: Your application for this position will be considered by the Student
Government Association's Appointments Committee. This committee acts as an advisory board
to the SGA Representative Council, advising whom to appoint to SGA committee positions. This
is a secret committee; the identity of all members is kept anonymous in order to allow for
critical and honest recommendations of candidates for SGA. Your application will be considered
anonymously. Once the committee has reviewed all applications, they will make
recommendations to the SGA Representative Council. The SGA Representative Council will vote
on the recommendations of the Appointments Committee at the SGA Representative Council
meeting at 8pm on Monday, April 22. If you have any additional questions about the process,
