consultants, the Vet Complex range is formulated to respect the most modern nutritional standards and
guidelines. This is the reason why for example, the content of animal proteins and human food-grade fats are
always preferred to starch & carbohydrates, in order to satisfy the needs of a carnivore’s diet. The mineral and
trace elements contents are calculated with meticulous accuracy to help provide veterinary nutritional support

For traceability, efficacy and diet safety reasons, all the ingredients used in the production of the Vet Complex
range originate from France or Europe - and the animal proteins (as the primary ingredient) are sourced from
food fit for human consumption.
Vet Complex pet food is free from any artificial colours or flavours. Regular batch analysis, performed within the
framework of an auto-control plan, validates the hygiene and nutritional quality of all raw materials, as well as
the strict control of the nutritional formulation to meet the specific dietary requirements of the animals that the
diet supports.
Unique, Patented Manufacturing Process – Components cooked separately
The wholly-owned manufacturing site of the Virbac Vet Complex range is based in Vauvert, in France. It
complies with European regulatory standards as well as ISO 9001 version 2008 standards. Our unique
manufacturing process is significantly different from all other veterinary pet food companies, in that:
 Starch contained in cereals is gelatinised at high temperature – for optimal digestibility
 Animal proteins are cooked at moderate temperature – to preserve the quality & enhance the taste
 Human food-grade fat (Duck or Pig Fat) is cold-coated (“creamed”) around each & every kibble – for
maximum palatability
 Vitamins, essentials fatty acids and all other active principles are also incorporated cold, at the final
stage – to preserve nutritional value.

digestibility, nutritional value, bioavailability and efficacy of the chosen ingredients.
Preventative & Clinical Range
All Vet Complex products are complete foods (for healthy animals, no additional supplements are necessary),
