Application for L.E.A.D. Student Assistant Position Position Description The Student Assistant serves as a member of L.E.A.D. team, which includes professional staff, graduate assistants, and other student assistants. The position reports directly to Lauren Krznarich, Assistant Director, and indirectly to all staff of L.E.A.D. on job assignments. Position start date will as soon as possible. The responsibilities/expectations of the position are: 1. Provide quality service to all individuals, including employees, students, and guests 2. Serve as a frontline resource and one of the faces of the L.E.A.D. department (e.g. greet visitors, assist with program registration, answer questions about the department). 3. Answer phones and email, as well as assist with copying, filing, mail, and data entry 4. Provide support and assist in the marketing, logistics, and delivery of L.E.A.D. programs (e.g., Extraordinary Leadership Series, {I}Experience, Summer Leadership Summit, etc.). 5. Assist with L.E.A.D. presentations for other departments and community members as needed (e.g., admissions, student organizations, classes, housing). 6. Assist and/or lead special projects for the department (e.g., plan an event, conduct research, assist with data compilation for assessment, work on individual specific project). 7. Attend the L.E.A.D. staff meetings when needed. 8. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills required for the position: 1. Professionalism in the office and while representing the department outside the office 2. Initiative and self-motivated 3. Strong work ethic, dedication, and positive attitude 4. Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual 5. Ability to work well in groups and teams 6. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 7. Presentation skills 8. Maintenance of a 2.5 semester and cumulative GPA and good judicial standing at the time of application and throughout employment 9. Primary availability to work an average of 10-15 hours per week during department office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, and flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as required throughout the academic year (August-mid May) Qualifications and Skills preferred for the position: 1. Creativity 2. Campus involvement, leadership experience 3. Attendance of L.E.A.D. programs 4.
