Neighbourhood Plan Meeting 10th September 2014, Thomas Barnes School Attending – Chris Beddows, Joanne Cliffe, Carol Croft, Philip Hall, Rachel Henton, Margaret Jones, Keith Stevens, Ray Vanstone, Joy Whitehead. Apologies– None Preliminary Consultation - Statutory Consultees had been asked to comment on the initial draft of the Plan. The following responses had been received: Staffordshire County Council (Mineral Planning Authority) – they had commented that part of Hopwas Woods could be required for sand and gravel extraction, this would be clearer after a committee meeting on October 2nd. Ray would look again at the Minerals Plan and discuss this further with them. Environment Agency –they had commented that some flood plain areas could be developed, but section 5 would be left in. Section W2 would be amended as suggested. A comment on sustainable drainage in new developments would be added. Lichfield District Council - further constructive comments had been received. The results of the Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening would be added when received. English Heritage – as suggested the Staffordshire County Council Historic Landscape Archaeologist (Debbie Taylor) would be contacted to see how she could assist. Reference to conservation areas and listed properties would be added to the character and identity section, and details added to the evidence base. Landowners The group looked at and finalised landowners on a map of the parish, Keith would compile a list so that Margaret could write to ask them if they had any issues to raise. Additional points raised It was agreed to add a policy to preserve the existing boundary of the green belt, with no breach by development. Road access should not be permitted from new developments within Tamworth into Hopwas or Wigginton. Action points Ray would amend the plan as suggested in the responses. Keith would forward the list of landowners and start work on the evidence base. Margaret would contact Debbie Taylor, contact planning to finalise the policies map, circulate the listed buildings list and conservation area maps, and chase up any further responses from those who had not yet replied to the consultation.
