APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
HETI is again running the LEAD Leadership Development Program in 2016 for consultant
medical practitioners in NSW, The program is for doctors who are involved in medical
education and training at a departmental level, or as part of a training network, in a local
hospital network or as part of a professional College.
The aim of the program is to deliver a high quality innovative, interactive and inspirational
leadership program to build and develop skills for clinician leaders in medical education and
training within the NSW health system.
LEAD will give participants an opportunity to meet and learn with a motivational group of
individuals from diverse professional backgrounds all with an interest in medical education
and training.
Through interactive workshops, group discussions and self-reflection,
participants will have an opportunity to develop skills through collegiate learning and build
professional networks.
The faculty are from a variety of professional backgrounds bringing years of experience in
both health and corporate sectors.
LEAD allows senior doctors to both participate in the Program and to join the faculty team
for a unique opportunity to both learn and lead.
No other program exists in NSW that is focused on the needs of consultant medical
practitioners in relation to medical education and training of leadership skills.
