(Girls are put into 2 lines. One life of girls who have been inducted. Lead them in around one side of the circle, the side with electronic candles already lit. then lead in the girls who have not been inducted to the other side of the circle, candles not lit. Next to every candle is a pin, a pen, a redbook) LAUREN: For 66 years, B’nai B’rith girls have been perfecting our order. As a order we’re constantly striving to be the absolute best, to do everything we can for our order until our time is up. The mark we want to leave is different for each girl, but we always want to be the best. We always want to be remembered. think of our order as the circle youre in right now. We could have a million girls in it, a million girls with a million accomplishments. but if a few girls don’t have their lights on, the circle is not complete. To the girls with tealights on, turn them off. We induct girls every year without fail into our region, making them an official part of this circle. We induct girls with the hope that they are strong b’nai b’rith girls that will keep our circle together. Tonight, I want all of you to pretend you haven’t been inducted if you have been before. Pretend you’ve never lit that candle. Everyone turn off your tealight. Pretend you never said the pledge. This is all new for you. I want you to each write in your mit books what bbg has meant to you, and why it has been so important for you to be in bbg, what have you learned here and who have oyu become form being a member of bbg? However, there are plenty of girls who have truly never been inducted. If you’ve never been inducted, write why you want to be inducted, what you think bbg has in store for you, and the mark you want to leave on bbg. We’ll have a few minutes to write. (wait about 2 minutes) LAUREN: (I read my thing first) Now I want every girl to go down the circle who has been inducted before, stopping at (last girl who has been inducted). Consider this your reinduction, your rededication, your candle will be relit, as you turn on your tealight after you read. (girls go down the circle, reading their thing. They turn on their lights as they go.) LAUREN: I would like you girls to hold your mit books between you, one hand on yours, and one hand on the girls next to you. Then repeat after me I am a B’nai B’rith Girl. I am a member of I am a daughter of the Covenant; I dedicate myself to my country, to my faith, to the eternal glory that is Israel’s. To our blessed land of free men and women, I pay homage. To the noble heritage of my people, I pay respect. For more than a century since 1843, in peace and war, B’nai B’rith Girl has served Israel and humanity. As a member of B’nai B’rith Girls, I shall strive to carry on this tradition of service as a good citizen of my country and a good Jew. I AM A B’NAI B’RITH GIRL! LAUREN: Our order is kept strong by girls who do not waver in their dedication, these girls have been inducted once before and tonight they have been reinducted. Their dedication keeps our order strong. You girls will keep these mit books to remind you always how powerful bbg is, and to remind you that even though we will all graduate from bbg, we left an everlasting impact on this order. Each girl has a pin in front of her, please pin it on the girl to your right if their candle is on. However, despite the efforts of these girls, our circle is not complete. Without the new members, who promise to keep our BBG flame going, our order is nothing. The younger girls are the future of this region, and their induction will bring them into our region to keep bbg alive, to improve it, and to leave their mark. I would like each girl who wrote their pledge to bbg to read it aloud, lighting oyur candle as you go. (girls go down the line reading their thing, putting their tealights on as they go.) LAUREN: I would like you girls to hold your mit books between you, on hand on yours, and one hand on the girls next to you. Then repeat after me I am a B’nai B’rith Girl. LAUREN: You girls have now been officially inducted into our region, there is so much ahead of you, and with this induction comes the promise. The promise to uphold the pledge you wrote down here. You will keep your mit books as a reminder that for the duration of your time in BBG, now that you are inducted, you will give your all to our order. Please put pin on the girl to the right of you if they have just been inducted. Now all our lights are on. Between the girls in this room there is the ability to be the best. But we can only be the best together. Remember always that we are nothing without each other, we cannot complete a circle if even one light turns off, we can not have bbg without each of us giving our all. Your inductions is a promise. Your inductions is a dedication. Your induction is powerful. You are powerful, you are a b’nai b’rith girl. We are the b’nai b’rith girls, together as one, forever united.
