Bacc Core Syllabus checklist
The following checklist is used by the Bacc Core Committee when reviewing a Category
II proposal submitted to the Curriculum Proposal System.
Does the course meet the following requirements?
Course proposal includes a complete syllabus
Syllabus includes a statement that the course fulfills the Baccalaureate
Core requirement for the category.
Baccalaureate Core Category Learning Outcomes are clearly stated and
listed distinctly from other course outcomes (If the course is fulfilling
requirements for more than one category, Bacc Core outcomes are
included for all relevant categories)
Syllabus includes course specific learning outcomes
Syllabus includes grading criteria
Syllabus includes required texts and materials
Syllabus includes course schedule
Syllabus includes statement regarding students with disabilities
Syllabus includes statement regarding academic or scholarly dishonesty
with appropriate URL link
Course is at least three credit hours and is a regularly numbered
departmental offering (not X99 or blanket numbered)
