Teachers, Parents, Students – Together for Success In the 2nd Grade Classroom At Home The 2nd grade classroom will work with students and their families to support students’ success in reading fluency and comprehension and math fact fluency. Some of our key connections will be: CES families joined staff to develop ideas about how families can support students’ success in reading and math. Here are ways you can support learning at home: Teachers will provide a weekly reading log with incentives Teachers will provide weekly skill questions Reading and math strategies will be shared with parents at school wide events Teachers will provide materials for math fluency practice Teachers will send home samples/detailed instructions of how to help children with math and reading homework School Goals By 2015, all students will be at or above grade level in reading and math.
