FOUNDATION AWARDS $1,791,990 IN GRANTS
Canton, Ohio (December 11, 2013) The Board of Directors of the Sisters of Charity Foundation
of Canton has announced $1,791,990 in grants for the third and fourth quarters of 2013.
According to Foundation President Joni Close, “Several organizations have been given the
opportunity to send their fund development representatives to the Fund Raising School at
Indiana University. The feedback has been extremely positive from all participants. This is one
way the Foundation strives to build organizational capacity in our nonprofits. In fact, two of the
participants are planning to offer a workshop to other area nonprofits to share information
they have learned through this experience. It’s a great way to broaden the impact of this
effort.”
