With the audio now remastered and the artwork revamped for the 12” format, their fourth album of instantly recognisable Doom infected ‘70s Hard Rock is now available in its analogue glory. As the studio album was too long for a single vinyl without skimping on sound quality, it made sense to house the band’s lively rendition of “Soulless Woman” by the ‘70s Ogre on a bonus single. On the reverse, the band opted to pay homage to The Bags with their exclusive take on “Naked Lady” which was a favourite of theirs back in the early ‘90s. We also have limited copies of “The Last Neanderthal”” on CD for £10 Yoshiwara 303 Dementia Five: “Revolt in the Fifth Dimension” Cassette £5 As the first part of Yoshiwara’s Explorations series we are delighted to announce the release of the Dementia Five album “Revolt in the Fifth Dimension”. This is a limited cassette of Hard-hitting psychedelic rock including current members of the mighty OGRE. Each cassette comes with a digital download of the album. Yoshiwara Bundle Offer OGRE: “The Last Neanderthal” LP and 7” single set! + Dementia Five: “Revolt in the Fifth Dimension” Cassette. £18.00 + Postage TBC Yoshiwara 三つ Distro Items ABYSMAL GRIEF / RUNES ORDER - "split 12" £9 The Abysmal Grief, historical lords of Italian Dark Sound, propose a Horror/Dark Ambient track conceived as a hymn to the afterlife and to the tragic fate that our frail, short lives share. Death is a lady and noble Queen. She is the destiny of every man. The Italian master of experimental music, Claudio Dondo, proposes with his Runes Order a Horror/Dark Ambient song with a gothic decadent atmosphere. The track is a macabre hymn to pleasure and blasphemy portraying the profanation of the sacred through SNUFF rituals of which the artist is a follower and faithful admirer. Alex De Siena, who was his partner in the Star Matter project, is both the singer and the priestess performing the rite. ART OF BURNING WATER - “Living is for Giving, Dying is for Getting” LP £10 Art Of Burning Water refuse to die despite being one of the most frowned upon bunch of noise making twats of the past 10 years. There is no machine behind this band and the UK 'underground' rock circle jerk has never approved them or championed them and they do not have friends in high places but DO have high friends. You won't be told to check them out and they will not be seen high fiving the correct people in the correct places in order to further their way up festival bills with the correct bands. Art Of Burning Water are outsiders in the truest sense of the word AND VERY PROUD TO STAND OUTSIDE THE GOLDEN CIRCLE OF YOUR LOVE. Art Of Burning Water are a steroided immigrant noise punk outfit that does not need to be loved to live. Art Of Burning Water love what they do and therefore need not be loved for what they do. This is strong music by weak people. For fans of: Keelhaul, Rorschach, Voivod, Amebix, Godflesh and Motorhead BURNING SAVIOURS - “Broken Om Forbannelsen’’ CD £8 Named after the Pentagram song from the ‘’Day of Reckoning’’ album gives you a clue of how the doom part of the bands music sounds. The band mixes the early giants of the rock and metal genres including early Sabbath, Zeppelin and Hendrix. Being a compilation of four 7’’ singles this could be a good introduction with the sound quality throughout consistent and simply rocking in the old fashioned way. Some tracks are in Swedish but most are in English like their previous three albums. CIRCLE - Golem / Vesilirto DCD £9 Circle boldly unroll their experimental rock balancing on the edge of everything imaginable. The combination of the crunch of tectonic plates with insane epic improvisations and exhausting repetitiveness on the live album Golem poses questions the listener alone can answer and be impressed of. Mika Rättö squels like he'd gone mad while the deranged band grinds itself up from the depths. The studio album Vesiliirto seems to strangely drag forward in a sped up universe, where uppers are downers and the dragging are humming bird's wing beats. The album presents remarkable moments for receptive ears from one of Circle's most prolific era. Golem/Vesiliirto was first released by Kevyt Nostalgia and Supermetsä as a double vinyl in 2004. The live part was recorded in Semifinal (Helsinki) November 2, 2003. The album contains over 35 minutes of bonus material! CIRCLE - “Meronia” CD £8 *Meronia*, Circle's long out-of-print debut album (originally released by Bad Vugum in 1994) has now been re-released by Ektro Records. This new release features updated album artwork and has been digitally remastered as well. Meronia's 70+ minutes of simultaneously mesmerizing and crushing songs laid the foundations for future Circle albums to come. Although various incarnations of the band have since created over 20 full length releases, the fundamental things at the heart of Circle were already present on this first album. Yoshiwara 三つ CIRCLE - “Zopalki” DLP £15 Re-released and remastered, the legendary second album from 1996 captures Circle roaming the deep waters of monotonic ritual and manic psychedelia. The album marked the end of an era culminating their epic occult rock and roll. Zopalki offers a penetrating glimpse into a time forever lost, but whose presence can still be perceived. LORD FIST - “Green Eyleen” LP £13 ”Through time and space, conscious and subconscious, there flows a secret stream. The metaphysical river of steel, timelesness and mysticism. The stream of Heavy.” Inside this record, there is preserved a journey. An epic journey on this everflowing stream of Heavy Metal. The soul of this music is like a hidden valley in the flames of war. True, hidden and timeless, now finally grown ready to rise to glory. There are riffs, towering beyond the highest northern peaks, making the world tremble and crack, revealing the core essence of Heavy. It provides a path and a vision not faltering to fillers or mediocrity. This is the champion, the standard-bearer in these weary times. The New Wave of Great Heavy Metal. OCEAN CHIEF - “Universums Hard’’ LP £13 Fifth and latest album from Swedish sludge merchants Oceans Chief. They sound like a mix of YOB and Bongripper with a strange synth and keyboards parts to put across their cosmic artwork. Slow and heavy interspersed with instrumentals to give plenty of variety and creativity. OGRE - “Dawn of the Proto-Man” Re-issue CD £10 The debut album from power trio Ogre marked a hard rocking start for this ‘70s influenced band. Straight forward and traditional in approach, toes will tap and heads will bang! Now long overdue a re-issue, this definitive edition comes in a Japanese mini-gatefold sleeve with OBI, bonus tracks and expanded artwork. A solid buy according to our biased opinion... OGRE – “Seven Hells” Re-issue CD+DVD £11 The second album has been expanded further again. Not only does the band go in a doomier direction, the DVD includes 2 live shows of this cracking band with plenty of flair and some outstanding drumming. Presented in another Japanese mini-gatefold sleeve with OBI, what’s not to like? +++++++We can do the above 2 for £20+++++IF YOU’RE QUICK++++++++ We also have limited copies of “The Last Neanderthal”” on CD for £10 PHARAOH OVERLORD - “Horn” CD £8 Horn is a departure from the Lord's trademark motorik doom-kraut style. This is nasty, noisy full-on art rock from the outer reaches of space, like early Sonic Youth tearing it up with Crazy Cavan & the Rhythm Rockers. The album includes four previously unheard Pharaoh Overlord compositions and a Spacemen 3 cover. Recorded live in Lahti, Finland 2011. REALMBUILDER “Summon the Stone Throwers’’ CD £8 Debut album from epic metal duo in the tradition of Manilla Road and Atlantean Kodex. Colourful drum flourishes add to the bands overall raw take on the genre. Rough and ready in places with room to grow, but worth a go if you like the aforementioned bands and like an album with rustic charm aplenty. THE DISEASE CONCEPT – “Your Destroyer” LP (Limited Blue Splattered Wax) £13 Forget the horror film fascination integral to the Hellhound albums that Blood Farmers are famed for. This is a much more ugly and nasty down to earth affair. “Living At Home and Yoshiwara 三つ Hiding from the Government” and “High on Amphetamines and Love (But Mostly Amphetamines)” paints that bleak picture. Frantic. Dark. Disturbing. This is real life channelled through sludgy riffs, dual guitar harmonies, wailing solos and tortured vocals all of which are somehow still underlined with Sabbath sensibilities. The Winding Sheet magazine #1 - £5 The Winding Sheet magazine is the brainchild of AC from Malthusian and has finally been published. The first print run is published by and available now from Invictus Productions and features in depth interviews with: Funereal Presence/Terminus/Dead Congregation/Howls of Ebb/Dread Sovereign/In Solitude/Corr Mhóna/Krypts/Lynched The magazine is pro-printed in A5 size with 100 pages. ZAUM - “Oracles’’ LP £13 The band describe themselves as Middle Eastern Mantra Doom, of which the vocals are presented in a mantra / chant style which works well over the multi layered progressive doom backdrop. The sound is slow and epic like the ships of the desert depicted on the LP artwork! Last track “Omen” is worth the entry price alone if you like bands like The Wounded Kings and OM. Yoshiwara 三つ
