July 2015 THE CORNWALL HISTORICAL SOCIETY NEWSLETTER PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Summer is in full swing and so is the Cornwall Historical Society. Spring ended with a very enjoyable and successful Annual Dinner held on April 18th at the Trestle Restaurant, honoring the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War. The proceeds went to our William E. Fulton Memorial Scholarship Fund. Our plans for Independence Day include a float in the parade and a booth on Town Hall grounds. I’ll be driving my red 1966 Ford Mustang convertible. So look for it and our hippie student interns as our flower children. Our theme will be “Back to the Future”. Set up begins at 9 AM. Man the booth, we could use your help, join the festivities and excitement of the 4th of July in Cornwall! E-mail us with your availability () and renew old friendships and make new ones.
