Spring 2015 Great Race 2015 Team Packet Spring 2015 Monday April 13 rd Bowling Night 1. Winner is determined by the sum of the male and female with the highest recorded score from each team. 2. Each team will need to complete the driver’s test to qualify for 1 s t place for this event. 3. There will be someone at the door ensuring students safety, they will be checking Mustang Cards and to check purses/backpacks, etc. if one of your teammates is asked to leave, please assist in making sure this process remains orderly. Team consists of 6 participants (3 males, 3 females), plus the driver. 2. The race will begin at west St. up 10 t h St. and conclude at the “second bump” near ritch hall . 3. There will be a mandatory switch spot during the race(meaning that you can have more than one switch spot but one is required). Each pusher must touch the cart for at least one second during the push. Winners will be determined based on the best time accomplished Spring 2015 4. Scoring: 1 s t Place: 5 points 2 n d place: 3 points 3 r d Place: 1point Wednesday, April 15 th Mustang field day *obstacle course race* *1pm* 1. Team consists of 6 participants,(3 males, 3 females from each team). 2. The race will take place at old James stadium 3. The race includes a obstacle course with cones and two pit stop activities. Spring 2015 Winners will be determined based on the best time accomplished 4. The race will begin at the intersection of west St. and college ave. and conclude at d st. 3. Scoring: 1 s t Place: 5 points 2 n d place: 3 points 3 r d Place: 1point Thursday, April 16 th Spring 2015 Talent Show *7pm* 1. Each team is responsible for 2 performances. a. Movie Skit- of your choosing, not to exceed 5 min b. Music video parody- of your choosing not to exceed 5 minutes c. Practice for talent show will be from 10am- 1pm on the day of the talent show at light hall. 3. Purple & gold coronation greatrace.wnmu.edu/nominate Spring 2015 Saturday, April 18 th Great Race *12pm* 1. Check-in and team registration takes place aT 10am 2. Before the race we will do a walk-through of the course at 11AM 3. Pole position & the order of the Start is to be determined by the team’s accumulated points (whoever has the most points starts first, second most starts second, etc. ) 4. There will be an interval of 30 seconds between each team’s start. 5. There will be a challenging pit stop after the second lap for the driver and two pit crew members to complete. Y ou will receive information on the pit stop before the start of the race. 6. Each cart will be assigned to two staff members to keep time. The average of those times will result in the final time. 7. The winner is determined by the time not by who crosses the finish line first. 8. Attached is the course layout, it’s recommended that you follow and study the course. Spring 2015 9.
