DIT Foundation DIT Travel Scholarship in Renewable Energy 2016 DIT Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of the 2016 DIT Travel Scholarship in Renewable Energy. The DIT Travel Scholarship in Renewable Energy provides an opportunity for a highachieving DIT Masters or PhD student/recent graduate to pursue a practical work assignment in a developing country in the area of renewable energy. The recipient will work for a period of up to 3 months on a project managed by the international charity Renewable World. The DIT Travel Scholarship in Renewable Energy is worth €10,000 which will cover all costs associated with the scholarship including travel and living expenses. The timing of the 3 month placement in 2015 is flexible and will be worked out with the successful candidate. This form and all further information are also available from the DIT Foundation website at www.dit.ie/foundation. Closing date for receipt of applications: Friday 27th November at 5pm. Applications will only be accepted by email to foundation@dit.ie. Interviews will take place on Friday 11th December at DIT Bolton Street. The successful candidate will be chosen by a selection panel. Candidates will be notified by the 15th December. There is no flexibility with the interview date and candidates must attend in person. To be eligible to apply students/recent graduates must: Be a full time Masters / PhD student or recent Masters/PhD graduate at Dublin Institute of Technology with a 2:1 average or higher – Recent graduates must have graduated in the past 2 academic years. Have an interest in Renewable Energy and the developing world Students/Recent Graduates from all disciplines may apply however engineering/technical background is an advantage.
