Writing Topic: Should Recycling Be Voluntary or Required?
To Recycle or Not to Recycle
Recycling should always be mandatory. Here are three reasons why people must
recycle. First, recycling helps reuse resources on the earth. If everyone recycles, then
recycling centers will be able to reuse more materials such as plastic, glass, aluminum,
paper, metal, cardboard, and rubber. They can then turn those recyclables into items that
people will reuse. Next, some places such as grocery stores give people rewards for
recycling. For some people, a little reward for something that is Eco-friendly and not hard
to do is valued. Finally, recycling is good for the environment. Things like paper and
cardboard come from trees, and if we reuse paper and cardboard then we are saving more
trees from having to be cut down to make more paper and cardboard. In addition, if we
reuse plastic and other materials then it will not end up in a landfill where it will take a
long time to decompose. It will end up in use by some person with something to do. In
conclusion, recycling helps reuse our resources brings rewards in certain places, and
helps conserve our environment. Recycling helps everyone in many ways. People can
help by doing their own part, by recycling.
