Abstract: This document is a template for manuscripts of the 24th International Conference on Plastic Optical
Fibers (POF 2015). An abstract of approximately 100 to 150 words identifying the new and significant results of
the study must be provided.
Key words: Provide a maximum of five key words.
1. Introduction
State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a
summary of the results.
2. Section
Divide your article into clearly defined sections. Each section is given a brief heading. Headings and subheadings for different sections of the papers should be used and clearly identified. Each section needs to be numbered
such as 2., 2.1., 2.1.1.
2.1. Experimental
Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a
reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
2.2. Equations
Present simple formulae in the line of normal text where possible and use the solidus (/) instead of a horizontal
line for small fractional terms, e.g., X/Y. Number consecutively any equations that have to be displayed separately from the text. For equations, center and number them to the right by means of tabulations.
2.3. Figures and tables
Ensure that each illustration has a caption. A caption should comprise a brief title and a description of the illustration. Number figures ad tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text (Fig. 1, Table 1).

3. Conclusions
The paper size must be A4 and four pages are recommended. Please use ‘Times New Roman’ throughout the
manuscript. Manuscripts must be submitted in PDF to <submission@pof2015.de> by August 17, 2015. The file
name should be a full name of speaker. For any question regarding the manuscript submission, please contact
POF 2015 Secretariat.

Text: Indicate references by number(s) in square brackets in line with the text. The actual authors can be referred
to, but the reference number(s) must always be given. Example: '..... as demonstrated [3,6]. Koike and Toma [8]
obtained a different result ....'
List: Number the references (numbers in square brackets) in the list in the order in which they appear in the text.
There are no strict requirements on reference formatting. References can be in any style or format as long as the
style is consistent. Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of
publication, volume number/book chapter and the pagination must be present.
