Greek Mythology Project
GRASPS:
Goal: Students will understand the different gods and goddesses (including
demigods or monsters) of Greek Mythology by researching the internet and
producing a final project which shows knowledge gained.
Role: You (and your partner) are fans of Greek Mythology and business
entrepreneurs.
Audience: Other fans of Greek Mythology.
Situation: You (and your partner) notice an increase in the demand of Greek
mythological products. However, there is currently a low supply. You realize
you are in a position to make a lot of money if you make and sell the products
yourself.
Performance: - If you work with a partner, choose your partner wisely.
- Research at least 6-10 Greek gods/goddesses. You can
also research demigods and monsters.
- Cite 2 sources used.
Steps:
1. Choose one of the products below for your final project:
A. A Cereal Box with information about each god.
- Includes a catchy name for cereal.
- Can focus on 1-3+ gods. If you choose one god,
you better include as much information as
possible and find a story to include about that
god.
B. A Children’s Book
- Main character is a cartoon character or a Greek
god or goddess.
C. Trading Cards
- Similar to the Pharaoh Trading Cards.
2. Information should include:
1. Name of mythological character.
2. Picture of the character in color.
3. Description of what they are the god or goddesses of.
4. At least 3 other facts about the Mythological
character. Can include a short story about the god.
5. Includes at least 2 other pictures or graphics to
illustrate the mythological character.
