No Tour guide needed Overnight Leonardo Plaza Netanya Day 4 : Sept 27, 2015 Sunday Sukkot Eve After breakfast we will drive to Jerusalem, Upon our arrival in Jerusalem, we will stop at Mt. Scopus for a beautiful panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem and to commemorate our arrival to the heart of Judaism with a special She'hecheyanu blessing to offer thanks for new experiences, which is typically recited at the beginning of holidays and special occasions, such as our tour We will visit the new Holocaust Museum – We will also visit the new Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Children’s Memorial at Yad Vashem. We will continue to the Bible land museum - It is the only museum of its kind in the world, where the civilizations of the Ancient Near East are brought to life from the dawn of civilization to the early Christian era, enjoy touring through the galleries and discovering the wonders of the ancient cultures and their interrelationships. We will check into our hotel and prepare for the Holiday Sukkot. We will walk to the Western Wall Plaza to receive the Holiday with dancing. Dinner at hotel. As we get closer to the shores of the Dead Sea, we will start to descend to the lowest point on the surface of earth at 1305 feet (398m) below sea level. We will drive south along the shores of the Dead Sea and stop at beautiful Ein Gedi reserve to see the Oasis in the desert. We will also see the incredible waterfalls, including David's Fall and the gardens, the caves and learn the biblical stories of King David and Saul in the book of Psalm. We will proceed to the legendary mountaintop plateau of Masada. We will take a cable car to explore the ancient synagogue, we will explore the ancient plateau, where the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their struggle against the Romans. If time permits we will continue to the Ancient synagogue in Susya – where we will see ancient remains of an ancient Jewish town and a synagogue. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Prima Royale Jerusalem. Day 6 : Sept 29, 2015 Tuesday After breakfast, we will go way back in time to King David’s Jerusalem in David’s City and enjoy sloshing through illuminated darkness of Hezekiah’s water tunnel where water has flowed since the time of the prophets, ending at the Shiloach pool. Join the mysterious, magical journey between ancient shafts, walls and fortresses at the City of David, the place where Jerusalem was born (strap-on water shoes and flashlights needed). We will walk via the newly excavated tunnel to the Davidson archeological garden, where we can see the Southern Wall Steps - an enormous flight of steps leads to the Southern Wall. These are the steps that Jews of the Temple era walked up to approach the Temple, especially on the great pilgrimage festivals of Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot. We will continue to the Temple Institute. We will see over 70 Temple-ready vessels, including the Golden Menorah, Table of Showbread, Altar of Incense, brass laver, and Levitical musical instruments made according to biblical descriptions. Page 3Cry For Zion Tour 2015, hosted by Asef Chavar (423)994-1567 Day 7 : Sept 30, 2015 Wednesday After breakfast we will have a Ptil tekhlet factory tour – we will experience the process of making genuine Tekhelet and Tzizit from the live sheep to the final strings. We will travel north to ancient Shiloh in the hill country of Ephraim, the site of Moses’ Tabernacle for over 300 years at the time of the judges. Here, the lots were cast for the tribal lands and Levitical cities. Here, God heard Hannah’s prayer and the High Priest Eli raised Samuel. Later we will visit Mount Gerizim & Mount Ebal near biblical Shechem where the tribes recited blessings and Joshua built an altar of stones there. Day 8 : October 1, 2015 Thursday After breakfast we will head to the Western Wall – the Kotel and have the opportunity to see a Bar Mitzvah celebration. Later we will participate in the Annual Jerusalem March. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Prima Royale Jerusalem. Day 9 : October 2, 2015 Friday After breakfast, we will head North towards Tiberias. We will visit the Ancient synagogue at Magdala. The Migdal Synagogue is an ancient synagogue that was in use in the Second Temple period, one of several found to date from that period and includes a carved stone representing the menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum that was located in the Temple. We will also see an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century CE, discovered in 1986 on the north-west shore of the Sea of Galilee. We will continue to the mystical City of Safed, considered to be one of the Four Holy Cities according to tradition and its Kabalistic studies (the birthplace of Kabala). We will stroll through the narrow, winding alleys; visit some of the beautiful synagogues and browse through the artists' workshops and galleries found in the flourishing artists' quarter. Page 4Cry For Zion Tour 2015, hosted by Asef Chavar (423)994-1567 Day 10 : October 3, 2015 Saturday After breakfast we will head to to Nazareth Village to meet the people and experience first-century hospitality in a setting that takes you back to the days of Yeshua. Step through a stone doorway into the dim interior, and smell the smoke from the oil lamps. Pet their flocks. Watch the weaving of wool and the pressing of olives for oil. The village is equipped with the finest authentic first century wine press in Israel. We will drive to the Sea of Galillee and enjoy a boat ride followed by a fish lunch ( St. Peter’s Fish) . We will continue to Capernaum where Yeshua ministered and performed miracles. We will see the synagogue site where He taught and worshiped. Before returning to the hotel we will visit the Baptismal site – Yardenit – on the Jordan River. Dinner at hotel Overnight Ruth Rimonim Safed hotel. Day 11 : October 4, 2015 Sunday ( Simchat Torah eve) After breakfast we will head to the Golan Heights - we will meet with IDF soldiers and serve them food. We will continue to Tel Dan - site of the ancient ruins of Dan. We walk along the trails near the rushing Chatzbani River. In Dan, we will see where King Jeroboam set up a golden calf. We will see a pagan altar. We will head to Caesarea Philippi an ancient Roman city located at the southwestern base of Mount Hermon, adjacent to a spring, grotto, and related shrines dedicated to the Greek god Pan, and called "Banias, Next, we head for Korazin built of black basalt stone. This biblical site features a large synagogue, a Seat of Moses, a mikveh (ritual bath), many homes and storage rooms, and an impressive olive press. Bethsaida will be our next stop - a city east of the Jordan River, in a “desert place” (that is, uncultivated ground used for grazing) possibly the site at which Jesus miraculously fed the multitude with five loaves and two fish We will drive back to Jerusalem, check in to our hotel and prepare for the Sukkot. Page 5Cry For Zion Tour 2015, hosted by Asef Chavar (423)994-1567 Day 12 : October 5, 2015 Monday ( Simchat Torah) After breakfast we will visit to the Israel Museum including the new Shrine of the Book, the newly reopened Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period, and the children’s wing. In the evening we will take part in the Annual dancing and rejoicing over the Torah in Liberty Bell park. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Prima Royale Jerusalem. Day 13 : October 6, 2015 Tuesday After breakfast, we will have the opportunity to plant a tree in the soil of the Holyland, Neot Kedumim later we will have the joy of giving by volunteering with one of the volunteering organizations (Leket Israel, or Jerusalem soup Kitchen ) or maybe at the Schneider Children hospital. We will drive to Tel Aviv to the Diaspora Museum, for an interesting tour of the galleries. Later we will drive to Old Jaffa, and 8000 year old port city, visit the ancient ruins and walk along the restored artists’ quarter. We will enjoy a farewell dinner before our transfer to the airport.
