Dover Valley Trail Segment A
Dover STP EH12 (3)
Sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors shall be accepted until 1:00 pm, prevailing time on
Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Town of Dover Municipal Offices located at 102 VT Route
100, West Dover, VT 05356 for construction of the project hereinafter described. Bid opening
will occur immediately after the bid submittal deadline. The time of receiving and opening bids
may be postponed due to emergencies or unforeseen conditions. Sealed BIDS shall be marked
in the lower left hand corner: Bid: Dover STP EH12 (3). Each BID must be accompanied by a
certified check payable to the Town of Dover for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the
BID. A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for the project on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at
10:00 am at the Dover Town Offices. All bidders on this project shall be on the Agency of
Transportation’s prequalified list under the categories “Curb and Sidewalk” or “Road and
Highway” or shall have submitted a complete prequalification application to the Agency of
Transportation, Contract Administration, a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to the bid
opening. Only annual prequalification will be required for this project. For information contact

Work to be performed under this project includes: grading, subbase, new vertical granite
curbing, portland cement concrete sidewalk, new catch basins, new storm pipe, driveway
reconstruction, new street lighting and other related items. The Contract shall be completed
on or before August 12, 2016.
Plans may be obtained from the Town of Dover Economic Development Department, 102 VT
Route 100, West Dover, VT 05356, 802-464-5100 x4, at a cost of $100 per set made payable to
the Town of Dover. Plans are not returnable.
