Indigenous Narratives Project
Your assignment:
Working in a group, explore Indigenous narratives to learn about their stories and share your
findings with the class.
Outcomes covered:
1. CC 1 – This will be the presentation of the multimedia presentation.
a.
Create and deliver a variety of personal, literary, and informational communications,
including poems, stories, personal essays, and oral, visual, written, and multimedia
presentations (e.g., written explanations, summaries, arguments, letters, biographies)
that address identity, social responsibility, and efficacy.
2. CC 3 – This will be using Sky Drive to record information you have found and working through
developing these ideas into a presentable format.
a.
Select and use appropriate strategies to communicate meaning before (e.g.,
considering and valuing own observations, experiences, ideas, and opinions as sources
for ideas), during (e.g., shaping and reshaping drafts with audience and purpose in
mind), and after (e.g., ensuring that all parts support the main idea or thesis) speaking,
writing, and other representing activities. -
3. CC 5 - Create and present a variety of visual and multimedia presentations to best represent
message for an intended audience and purpose.
a. Analyze, organize, and convert information into different forms (e.g., charts, graphs,
drawings, movement).
b. Create multimedia presentations to communicate information using resources such as
overhead projectors, computers, recorders, and other presentation software.
c. Integrate a variety of media (e.g., sound effects, mime, graphics, physical movement,
short video clip) into oral and written representations to enhance the message.
d. Use visual aids, media, and other technology to support oral presentations.
4. CC 6 – This will be coming up with the questions, determining what each person has to do and
carrying out these roles/tasks
a. Solve a problem or understand a task through group co-operation.
b. Define group roles using consensus to ensure task is understood and completed.
5. AR 1 – This will be filling in the sheet to say what you have got done, where do you need to go
next, and any problems/questions your group has.
a. Evaluate and modify own roles in group interactions in a variety of contexts.
b. Establish and use relevant criteria and relevant vocabulary to evaluate group process
and personal contributions and propose suggestions for development.
6. AR 2 – This will be the sheet rating your own and other group members contributions

Part B:
Divide your questions up and assign research topics to different people. Record the topics
assigned to each group member in the chart on the next page. The information found will be
recorded on the One Drive document that has been sent to you.
How to access the One Drive document:
1. Open your email and click on the link in your email.
2. Choose edit document on the top left and choose edit in Word App.
3. Be sure to put your name at the beginning of the information you add so it is clear who
is recording what information. Also color coding each person’s material is helpful. Do
this by clicking on the underscored capital A and choose your color.
