Courses with (H) = Horse Science Requirement
Courses with (E) = Equestrian Science Requirement
Courses with neither distinction are required for both degrees.
If student is getting both degrees there is no need for additional electives.
Horse Judges – EQ 158 (Fall), EQ 159 (Spring), EQ 258 (Fall), EQ 259 (Spring)
Horse Show Team – EQ 120 (Freshmen), EQ 220 (Sophomore)
EQ 161 – Stock Seat Equitation – Riding class – CANNOT register online. Must register in person and fill
out stall reservation form and submit $250 deposit.
EQ 262 – English Equitation – Riding class – sophomores only, must fill out stall reservation form again
and submit $150 deposit.
Give student the equipment list for EQ 161 and EQ 262 when they register.
If a student wants to start the Equine Program at Spring semester they CANNOT take EQ 167. They have
the option to take EQ 168 which is a riding lesson. These students typically CANNOT bring their own
