RESOURCE WAREHOUSE AND GALLERY DONATION GUIDELINES
We do our best to accommodate all types of donations, however, we do reserve the right to
turn down donations if we need to. We suggest you call ahead about your donation, for

Below are our current needs. Please check back periodically as we update this list.

Art/Craft Supplies
Art paints with labels, water color, acrylic, oil, poster, gouache, tempera, art supplies,
artificial plants and flowers, beads, brushes (paint brushes), buttons, candles and wax,
candleholders, chalk, craft supplies, crayons, easels, feathers
Fimo (soft polymer clay), foam core, glitter, glue, hobby supplies, jewelry, knitting/crochet
supplies, magnets and magnetic tape, marbles, mineral spirits, paint (latex and spray
paint—at least half full, with no rust on the can and nozzles working), paint chip samples,
paint thinner, printing blocks, rubber stamps, sewing supplies and patterns, stamp pads,
stencils, stickers, screen printing supplies, trimmings, yarn, zippers
Cloth/Fabric/Leather
Belts, burlap sacks, canvas, fabric samples and fabric yardage (no small scraps, cut-up
clothing or reused fabric), linens, lace, leather, men’s ties, mesh (nylon from fruit &
veggies; also tulle), ribbon, rope, string and twine
Glass/Ceramic
Ceramic tiles, knobs and handles, mirrors (broken or whole), wine bottles, windows (wood
ONLY with NO broken panes)
Manufactured/Electronic misc.
Cameras, cell phones, cassettes, CD’s and CD cases, DVDs and cases, electronics (only
VINTAGE and UNUSUAL), foam (for upholstery), keyboards, lab equipment (sterile,
unused), movies (no VHS tapes), power cords (in good condition), records, test tubes and
lab gear, video cameras, vintage items (‘80’s or earlier including printed materials)

Metal
Bottle caps (metal), cogs, copper scrap, handles, hinges, keys, knobs (metal), locks (with or
without keys), machine components, metal (hardware, small pieces of sheet metal, nothing
dangerous or huge), novelties, nuts, bolts, and washers, twist ties, wire
Office/School supplies (not including paper items)
Books (only those with graphics that might be suitable for art projects), educational games
and kits, encyclopedias, office supplies (paper trays, paper clips, index cards, labels, hole
punchers, stickers), paper cutters, party supplies, pens/pencils, rubber bands, rulers,
scissors, staplers, tape (all kinds), teaching materials
Other Misc.
Architectural elements (columns, mantels, etc), balls, boots, candle sticks, ceramic plates and cups
(whole or broken), ceramic tile (whole or broken), clip boards, corks, coffee beans and
grounds, currency, dryer sheets (new or used), eye glasses, fasteners, games, geegaws,
gismos, holiday gear (decorations, ornaments, lights), instruments, lamp parts (no bulbs),
patterns, playing cards, Plexiglas, postage, shoes (high heel only), trophies, toys (small
figurines—such as army men, farm animals, Barbie dolls. Anything VINTAGE, etc.
Paper/Cardboard
Boxes (small cardboard ring and cardboard jewelry boxes), coffee filters, coloring books,
(NEW—unused), craft paper, empty egg cartons (clean), envelopes, file folders, foam board,
greeting cards (used or new), gift wrap, magazines (craft, National Geographic, art,
women’s, children’s), mailing tubes, not from TP or paper towels, maps, matt board,
notebooks and pads, paper bags (Always needed!), paper of ALL TYPES (including wrapping
paper, matt board, and foam board), photographs, posters, poster board, tissue boxes
(square kind only), wallpaper
Plastic
Baby wipe containers, with clear tops, barrels and bins (plastic—must not have contained
anything poisonous), bubble wrap, bottle caps (plastic), CD cases, DVD cases, film
canisters, film negatives, mailing tubes, picture frames (plastic), plastic utensils, plastic
Liter bottles (clean), Styrofoam (only craft forms. ex. balls, cones, wreaths and packing
peanuts), ziplock bags, used prescription or medicine bottles
Wood
Architectural elements (mantels, columns, spindles…), barrels and bins (must not have
contained ANYTHING poisonous), doors (full size and cabinet—WOOD ONLY), frames, knobs
(wooden), picture frames (wooden), popsicle sticks (clean), tongue depressors, wood
(rounds, dowels, plywood, small pieces and wood turnings. No particle board, pressboard
or MDF), wood flooring

rolls, Styrofoam (except for craft forms. Ex. Balls, cones, wreaths), toys (except for vintage
toys or toys Barbie size or smaller), treated lumber, particle board, MDF, drywall, junky
wood, or wood with nails or screws), video tapes, window blinds, sheets, curtains,
