Marshmallow Sculpture
(ages 3-6) July 6-10

Students will learn to create
abstract sculptures using
marshmallows. Students will
explore “untraditional”
sculptures and learn about how
simple everyday items can be
turned into art. There will be
enough Marshmallows for
everyone!
Freestyle Painting
(ages 3-5) July 13-17

Students will study the process
of Abstract painting through
exploration. Students will learn
to use acrylic paint and basic
painting techniques. Come get
a little messy and have fun
making art!!!
Shoe Sculpture
(ages 5-7) July 13-17

$65.00, $10.00 supply fee and
bring an old pair of shoes!
Students will be creating a
sculpture of an animal of their
choice using an old pair of shoes
and Paper Mache. Students will
learn about Paper Mache and how
to use it as a successful sculpture
medium and about basic sculpture
techniques. Students are asked to
bring a small pair of old shoes
destined for the garbage. Come
ready to get a little MESSY!
Create a Toon!
(ages 8-12) July 13-17

Students will learn about
creating cartoons. Each
Student will create a cartoon
character. Students will
individually and cooperatively
learn to create a basic story.
The students will learn the
basic process of storyboarding
used by major TV and Movies
studios. You too can illustrate!

t-shirt will be needed!
Students will learn about the
importance of recycling as well
as a bit about printmaking
history. We will use recycled
materials to create a green
alternative to traditional relief
print. Bring your junk to class
and make a master piece!
Students will print on (dark)
t-shirts using a resist method
that requires only bleach and
sunshine! Come design your
own t-shirts!

pigments and dyes used with
the stamps will be all natural,
environmentally friendly, and
edible. Come make art and
snack on a potato or two!

Students will create multiple
logos based on different
themes. Students will explore
the power of symbolism in Art
and the Modern World.
Students will be given the
chance to creatively illustrate
their personalities. Come
share with us your design
ideas!
Students will create a
combination of multiple
animals/objects based on
illustrations of John James
Autobahn and other artists.
Students will also learn how to
use watercolor as an effective
medium of art. Come design
your inner animal!
Trash Sculpture
(ages 9-and Up) June 15-19
S. Wright 10:00-11:00am
$65.00, No supply fee! We just
ask you bring anything that can be
recycled! Students will create
sculptures using recycled materials,
inspired by the works of artist Louise
Nevelson. Students will learn how
simple objects considered “trash”
can be turned into works of art.
Students should bring “trash” items
like: empty toilet rolls, soda cans,
boxes, aluminum cans, straws, scrap
wood, etc.(For safety, no glass)
Anything that can be recycled and
made into a sculpture is welcome.
